Press release

"Gestures of Exchange" brings together two artists, Jorge Rosano Gamboa (*1984,
Mexico) and Esmeralda Kosmatopoulos (*1981, France/Greece), to explore how non-
verbal language—transmitted, inherited, or invented—can become a vehicle of exchange: between individuals, between body and memory, between past and present.
By juxtaposing Gamboa’s ancestral references with Kosmatopoulos’s contemporary
rituals, the project questions how art captures those silent gestures that connect us—
through care, through ritual, through touch. Whether they emerge from sacred traditions or digital habits, these gestures of the hands embody a form of exchange: between body and memory, between past and future, between self and other.
