Louisa Marajo defines herself as a painter. Nevertheless she uses all mediums in a transversal way in order to translate the chaos of a collapsing world, which is her artistic questioning. Her own studio is like a "tableau vivant": everything is important and it is the relationships of things between them that the artist emphasizes. Referring to her own history, she mixes temporalities and memories. Just as she mixes mediums between them.
For her first solo exhibition at Galerie Dix9, Louisa Marajo takes us into her maze to discover these «Oceanic Dust», an ecological disaster linked to the proliferation of sargasses in the Caribbean Sea.
